I'm just saying...

...sometimes the only thing you can do is howl.

...ooooowooowooo! A good howl always deserves an answer.

Great to see you're howling again. I've missed you!

Peace.

Steve: Many years ago, when I was a girl, we lived in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. We had a couple of dogs - one a big old sheperd-saint bernard mix - that occasionally would howl late at night at some dogs farther up the mountain. It was spooky to listen to, yet oddly comforting.

Spadoman: slowly making my way back.

Peace be with you, as well.

Or as your Moby might say, if so moved -"MeowoooooooOwwooooo."

Love your posts about him and the birds, bless his heart.

How can you tell it's not gargling?

BB:

I'm not overcome with fear when I gargle.

PS to BB:

Or did you mean the wolf?

Thank you, Sister Harlequin! I know you've been there!

If I were a wolf, I would howl back in synpathy. If not in sympathy, it would be because it was in my nature to howl. A satisfying release.

Plutarch: It is in my nature to howl, as well. Shall I start, or will you?

Owwwwwwwwowwwwwwww back at ya! Beautiful photo!!! I have been searching for a photo like this for an art piece for a friend...could you tell me more about it and possible use of this photo? Thanks! Great blog!

Nancy, if you click on the link just below the image, you will be redirected to Treehugger.com, which is where I found the photo. When I tried to find their image just now, however, I couldn't, so I did a Google image search for 'wolf howling' and found the same image at
http://www.howlingpines.com/Mals.htm

I doubt that either source is the original, but that's all I could find. I always link the source of the images I use directly under them.

And howl from the top of a hill so the whole world hears.....and sees.....you.

AWB: I did that once and was shot at. Now I stand in a closet or in the cellar to do my howling. Where do you go to howl?

I do it within my mind Martha.

That way I can be as loud as I like.
