Dear Japan

Our hearts are breaking for you.

私達の友人日本: 私達の中心はあなたのために壊れている。

(My grandson's stepmother is from Japan, so I posted this for him.)

When I caught the first tweets, there were reports of a few dozen dead. Then came the videos of the water cascading across farmland. And that airport. A few dozen? Maybe tens of thousands, if they're ever found. This could be any among us with the blink of an eye.

Ditto. Have friends there but thank God they are safe.

It's all so overwhelming, even just watching. So much more so for those in the midst of it all.

Luckily, DB (Crow's grandson) had gotten in touch with his stepmother soon after...she & her family are from the area that was first hit. Her mother, sister & brother-in-law were (are) fine, but they had not heard from her father at that time (he was up where the explosions went off).

Happy to say that her father is fine and her family is safe. She was extremely worried since she lives here in the US and was not able to go to them in their time of crisis.

Thank you, Crow, for posting that! <3
